Advantages of liver vitalisation
The liver revitalisation week is primarily a preventative programme to keep the liver healthy. However, it also serves to get an endangered liver back on track.
✗ A liver is at risk if certain risk factors are present. An unhealthy lifestyle, a combination of lack of exercise and an unbalanced diet, increased alcohol consumption and the intake of liver-damaging medication put a strain on our body's metabolic factory.
✗ As the largest internal organ, weighing up to 1.5 kg, the liver receives 2000 litres of blood every day and does an incredible job. Chronic damage or disease of the liver often causes no clear signs of illness (symptoms) and is therefore often only noticed late. This is mainly due to the fact that there are no pain-conducting nerve fibres in the liver tissue. A distinction is made between specific and non-specific symptoms.
